We are expanding our engineering team in Hanoi with a highly skilled Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE) who will work closely with product teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful, AI-powered solutions.

Senior Role Overview

As an AI Bridge Engineer at Money Forward Vietnam, you will work directly with cross-functional teams in Japan and Vietnam to design, prototype, and deploy AI-first solutions into real production environments. You will focus on understanding business workflows, identifying opportunities to apply LLMs and AI automation, and rapidly delivering value to users through practical, production-grade AI features.

Your work sits at the intersection of engineering, AI, and product. You will be responsible for transforming ambiguous business challenges into AI-powered solutions that integrate seamlessly with Money Forward’s ecosystem.

Responsibilities 

• Deeply understand the workflows, business context, and user pain points of our products.
• Design and implement AI-powered features using LLMs, embeddings, RAG, agents, and automation frameworks.
• Rapidly prototype AI solutions to validate feasibility and user value before full-scale development.
• Integrate AI systems with existing backend services, frontend applications, and SaaS product architecture.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI-powered features for quality, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML teams, product managers, and engineers across Japan and Vietnam.
• Translate vague customer or stakeholder problems into clear technical proposals and implementation plans.
• Drive continuous improvement of AI pipelines, prompt architectures, and evaluation methods.
• Ensure responsible AI usage, including safety, observability, data quality, and user experience.
   

Qualifications  

Required  

• Strong software engineering background in one or more languages: Python, Java
• From 3 years of total experience in AI-related positions, for example: AI Solution Architect, AI Engineer, AI Bridge Engineer, AI Product Engineer, AI Forward-Deployed Engineer, 
• Solid experience in designing and maintaining production systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating APIs or cloud services.
• Familiarity with LLMs or AI/ML concepts (e.g., RAG, embeddings, vector stores, prompt design).
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and convert problem statements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
• Experience working with global teams or cross-cultural environments.
• Experience working related to Accounting or Corporate performance management.
• Good communication skills in English; Japanese is a plus.
   

Preferred

• Direct experience with LLM applications: RAG pipelines, AI agents, automation workflows, or model evaluation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), microservices, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and MLOps concepts.
• Prior work involving customer-facing engineering or consulting-like roles.
