[IDM] Senior QA Engineer (Hybrid, AI, Data)

Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Design: Analyze system requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create detailed test plans and comprehensive test cases.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers in an agile environment to clarify requirements, identify risks, and ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process.
- Comprehensive Testing Execution: Perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and API testing to ensure robust coverage and high product reliability.
- Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and scale automated test scripts for both web UI and APIs using relevant frameworks and tools.
- Quality Advocacy: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira. Drive continuous improvement of test coverage, QA processes, and quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Review and enhance QA workflows, tools, and testing strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the team.
- Mentorship: Guide junior QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality and ongoing learning within the engineering organization.
- AI Quality Assurance: Collaborate with AI and data engineers to establish testing and evaluation methodologies for LLM outputs (e.g., hallucination detection, output quality, and user feedback loops).
Requirements
Technical Skills
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing for web and/or mobile applications
- Proficiency in a programming/scripting language for test automation (e.g., TypeScript, Python)
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices
- Ability to design detailed test plans, and comprehensive test cases derived from requirements and technical specifications.
- Rich experience in executing manual or automated API tests using relevant tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia, SoapUI, custom scripts).
- Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Playwright and Vitest
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how QA fits into the release process
- Ability to read and analyze logs, API responses, and basic frontend/backend code for debugging
- Experience with load, stress, or performance testing tools and methodologies
- Experience with security testing including XSS, SQL injection, and other common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing data platforms, data pipelines, or systems with an API-first architecture
- Experience with additional backend or scripting languages (e.g., Go, Shell)
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers, designers, and product managers
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS)
- Experience in evaluating or testing AI/ML-based systems, including LLM outputs, hallucination detection, or user feedback loops
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, output evaluation techniques (e.g., rubric-based scoring), or A/B testing for AI features
- Knowledge of AI-specific security concerns such as prompt injection attacks
- ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification

- Proactive communicator with strong collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring junior team members or leading testing initiatives
- Strong ownership and dedication to delivering quality software
- Business-level English proficiency (reading & writing required; conversational is a plus).
