In life, we frequently encounter small experiences that result in a subsequent significant impact. Indeed, sometimes 20% of causes can bring 80% of good results, it is like we sow a small seed, then it sprouts into a big tree.
If you are thinking of the Pareto or 20/80 rule, you are correct. Today, our Forwardians will bring some “80%” stories that, who knows, may resonate with your life.

Millie, Senior QA Engineer:
“Do you know how far it takes to commute from my home by motorcycle? 18 km. My daily one-round commute to the office is like a 3-hour trip to Vũng Tàu without congestion. Congestion is not my sole concern if it is the rainy season. A full package that restrains me from my career and family life.
I will not say 5-day W@O (Work at office) is challenging, but it does drain my daily physical and mental energy. But it was from the past, when I joined MFV, the policy of hybrid working has been a game changer.

“Going to the office 5 days a week immersed me in the hectic life. If I got stuck in a traffic jam 5 days a week, I would definitely be late for work, which would affect my emotions and my days. The fume emission, the heat, the red lights, so many mood-killers on the street. I could not avoid them completely, but I hoped to reduce their frequency.

“I can wholeheartedly prepare a more qualified breakfast or lunchbox for my beloved people, or my home feline. Everyone only has 24 hours a day, so it is valuable to have enough energy and optimal time to accomplish our to-do list. ”
Sunny, Human Resource Executive:
“My job is related to the back office, so I am mostly working in the office, but it does not mean I am not granted the hybrid working. I can choose a day of the week to work in hybrid mode if needed, as long as there is somebody to substitute for my presence. There is a fact that you cannot predict the weather in Hanoi city (believing in weather forecast is not my religion), for it is really blowing hot and cold. "
Unveil the 20% (MFV perception)
As you can guess from the stories, one of the 20% of their positive energy came partly from a small working mode: Hybrid working.
Initially, the new mode was at least under 2 pieces of consideration, which are employees’ safety and productivity. However, our creative employees are the real proof that “Consciousness can determine matter”. They have harnessed the hybrid working to a new level to boost their work-life to the next level beyond MFV’s expectation. They can secure their productivity, their family life, their personal needs, their energy, and their relationship.
Conclusion
Pareto 80/20, or Less is More, or Lean, is a ubiquitous term in this VUCA era, where everything is changing rapidly. MFV knows that, even though Speed is our Culture, but we do not want it to grind you; instead, we know a decent pace in life is what can leverage your wellness and your safety. So MFV hopes that, with Hybrid working, you can find more time in your daily life for yourself, for your loved ones to unlock yourself, to move your value forward. Every day will be a family day, or a balance day, and your day.
