Money Forward Vietnam's Half-Year All-Hands: GU-CHALLE

Ho Chi Minh City & Hanoi, Vietnam – January 16, 2026 – What a way to kick off the new year! Money Forward Vietnam (MFV) gathered all our Forwardians in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi for our awesome Half-year All-hands (HYAH) event. Held in a super flexible Hybrid format, this was our big moment to look back at the second half of 2025 (2H2025) and get totally pumped for the 1H2026 business cycle.

HYAH is a cornerstone of our MFV! It’s where everyone gets a super transparent view of the company’s vision and strategy. It's a fantastic time for the whole team to interact, hear new goals directly from leadership, and receive clear direction on professional development.

Living up to our "try new things" culture, the HYAH hosts are always Forwardians! This time around, our awesome MCs who kept the energy up and the show running smoothly were Koah, a Software Engineer from the Stampless team, and Waymond, a Software Engineer from the AI Department. They rocked the stage!

MFV’s Awesome Run: What We Achieved in 2H2025

The second half of 2025 was a huge success for us, packed with big wins for our organization and products that really solidify MFV’s spot as a tech powerhouse in the region:

• Organizational Development: Our focus on people paid off big time! Forwardians' satisfaction jumped from 39.7 to 50.1, and our Promoter score climbed from 46.3% to a strong 57.7%. Additionally, we invested in our talent by welcoming three Software Architects, two new Department Managers, and five new Section Managers.
• Learning & Development (L&D): Our "L&D-Project Excellence" initiative was a huge hit, helping us boost the professional certification achievement rate to over 75% (up from 48.89%), resulting in over 150 certifications across 38% of all Forwardians.
• AI Achievements: AI is a core strategy, and we celebrated some major events:
  • The AI Mini Challenge (June 2025) and MFV AI Hackathon (August 2025) saw high engagement, with 3 winning teams delivering practical solutions MFV can use right away.
  • Our biggest AI event yet, Tech.IT Forward: AI Forward (December 2025), was a massive hit, generating over 150,000 impressions on social media.

• Proud Product Releases: We shipped an incredible volume of high-quality code. From December 2024 to November 2025, our teams delivered 962 production releases, including 77 major releases, which is a huge credit to everyone’s hard work!

Group slogan: GU-CHALLE Spirit

Money Forward Group (MFG) had a fantastic FY25, hitting 101% of its Revenue target (over 50 billion JPY) and a staggering 146% of its EBITDA target (4.96 billion JPY). The flagship Group’s slogan for the last half was “All in, All the Way.”

And for 1H2026, the new MFG slogan is our rallying cry: “Let’s overcome every obstacle with GU-CHALLE!”—which is basically a shout-out to embrace grit, challenge boundaries, and deliver value with honesty and courage.

The big news? The announcement of the AI Strategy and setting up a banking preparation company with SMFG, reinforcing our goal to be the No. 1 AI Company and the No. 1 Financial Platform.

What’s Next? MFV's Plan for 1H2026

MFV’s internal strategic slogan is “Steady Growth Forward,” which focuses on two main goals, all powered by an AI-first value creation approach:

1. Strengthen Organizational Capability: Our goal is to level up the entire organization by making AI part of every process—not just as a tool, but as a foundation to enhance our value in product, development, and decision-making.
2. Elevate MFV’s Value as a Cross-Functional Hub: We’re in a unique position as a hub for over 45 teams. MFV will collect the best practices, circulate them as shared knowledge across the Group, and turn that knowledge into new MFV-led initiatives and innovations.

This strategy is backed by the 1H2026 Action Plan:

• AI Transformation: Fostering an AI-first culture through Hackathons and training, and setting up an MFV AI SDLC Champions team to lead all AI activities.
• Quality of Delivery: Sharpening our QA with standard testing frameworks, early defect detection (Shift-left testing), and improving engineering quality through architectural health checks.
• Data Security: Boosting a culture of security where members are asked to "stop and ask" if they are unsure, ensuring trust remains the bedrock of our growing organization.
