Your idea, Our growth: AI Ideathon In MFV

Your idea, Our growth: AI Ideathon In MFV

The emergence of AI has been slithering into every corner of the world, and MFV is no exception. Its emergence, more or less, is controversial as to whether AI will replace human jobs or humanity needs to be wind-headed to be able to harness AI. In MFV, we encourage members to take challenges and have a leadership mindset, which’ why the initiative of harnessing AI is a must. Via an ideathon called EVO AI, we have collected a myriad of ideas, proving that Forwardians are welcoming the application of AI. Among valuable submissions, we have filtered ideas that are best suited for MFV.

The emergence of AI has been slithering into every corner of the world, and MFV is no exception. Its emergence, more or less, is controversial as to whether AI will replace human jobs or humanity needs to be wind-headed to be able to harness AI.

In MFV, we encourage members to take challenges and have a leadership mindset, which is why the initiative of harnessing AI is a must. Via an ideathon called EVO AI, we have collected a myriad of ideas, proving that Forwardians are welcoming the application of AI. Among valuable submissions, we have filtered ideas that are best suited for MFV.

Let’s hear the story from the owners of the prize

2. Sounds wholesome. By the way, where did you get that idea?

James: Well, my operations team sometimes reported that the system has missed a few invoices due to incorrect input from the user's side. The mistake is time-consuming for users to re-enter. I would also be so frustrated and wish that one click could solve everything.

Sumi: My idea was inspired by the recurring inefficiencies I’ve observed in manual invoice processing workflows, particularly in mid- to large-sized companies. Traditional invoice handling is often time-consuming, error-prone, leading to delayed payments, data entry mistakes, and difficulty in tracking financial records.

Dynamo: The current recruitment process requires manual work such as screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and takes a lot of time from interview to offer.

Keilly: The idea came from our daily challenges as a TABP—managing high volumes of tasks while trying to recruit the right people, fast and fairly. We thought: what if AI could support us by reducing manual work and making the process more consistent and efficient?

Lee: Initially, I intended to ideate a healthcare solution, however, that idea was not related to the MFV direction. Then I remember that each member will have their own taste in learning materials, what if they find existing learning platforms unsuitable for them? They need an expert to support their learning.

Trent: With the rapid advancement of technology, I’ve always felt eager to keep learning and stay up to date. But I often found myself spending more time figuring out what to learn next and searching for the right materials than actually learning. That’s what inspired my idea.

3. Brilliant! Now we would like to hear more about your solutions

James: So, with the help of AI, it will be a helpful mechanism. It will learn from users and automatically generate data to save time. The user just clicks one button to accept it.

Sumi: I recognized that AI, especially with OCR and natural language processing, could dramatically reduce these pain points by automating invoice extraction, validation, and categorization. Additionally, with the growing trend of digital transformation and intelligent document processing in finance and operations, this idea aligns well with the industry's push toward smarter, faster, and more reliable back-office automation.

Dynamo: My AI-powered idea for the Recruitment Department is to increase productivity, adaptability, and reduce onboarding time by automating several repetitive tasks. For example:

The AI will scan and filter CVs based on set criteria, review and suggest valid test results, and schedule interviews after HR and PM approval.

It will also send automatic thank-you letters to successful candidates, integrate interview time in the calendar, and provide statistics and reports on recruitment.

Additionally, the AI will include a chatbot to support new employees and analyze social media job postings to improve recruitment strategies.

Keilly: I have been imagining an AI-Personalized Online Education Platform that is to improve staff product management knowledge. The platform will help them understand the knowledge, enhance the learning experience, content recommendations. Moreover, it can tutor and give feedback to Forwardians.

Lee: I have been imagining an AI-Personalized Online Education Platform that is to improve staff product management knowledge. The platform will help them understand the knowledge, enhance the learning experience, content recommendations. Moreover, it can tutor and give feedback to Forwardians.

Trent: Using machine learning, the system analyzes user behavior, past training, and performance data to suggest the most relevant learning materials.

4. How did you feel when your idea was recognized in the finalist panel?

James: I was really delighted to hear the news that my idea got recognition by our directors. However, ideation is not my ultimate goal, it is real-life application. I am looking forward to implementing my blueprint.

Sumi: I felt incredibly honored and encouraged when my idea was selected as a finalist. It was validating to see that the judges recognized both the relevance of the problem and the potential impact of using AI to solve it. The recognition gave me a strong sense of motivation, not just as a personal achievement, but as a signal that this concept could truly help streamline operations and create real value in business environments.

Dynamo: I was surprised and happy that the judge agreed and selected me. And I was also moved to know that people see the real potential in applying AI to improve recruitment. Hope to apply soon to MFV.

Keilly: I was overjoyed and a bit surprised! But more than that, I feel valued because the common challenges we face in the TABP scope were recognized. This isn’t just a small win for me, but for the whole team—we all share the same goal of building better hiring experiences.

Lee: It’s a mixed feeling. I was overjoyed to know my idea is appreciated. However, I also feel a bit anxiously excited about whether I can make it come true. I hope to gain enough resources for the first MVP.

Trent: I am very honored and grateful. Being recognized among the finalists truly validated the potential impact of my idea. As an AI Engineer, this recognition has motivated me to keep exploring and building AI-driven solutions that bring real value to people’s lives.

Not only do our winners raise their voice, but we have also invited Charlie, the person who has conducted the crowdsourcing contest at its first brick:

"Initially, I was concerned that only a handful of members might engage. But to my surprise, I was met with a flood of submissions — both technical and non-technical — reflecting the rich diversity of our people. Each submission not only showcased a solid understanding of AI’s potential in the workplace but also revealed a shared desire to see these technologies come to life at MFV.”

Thank you, Charlie, as a final word, our winners also have a few words for those who are hesitant to use AI for their work?

To anyone hesitant to share their ideas or afraid of failing, Sumi offered words of encouragement: 'Having an open mindset is essential. Just give it a try, and you'll discover so many new possibilities. Embrace change to grow! It's true what they say: "Trying something new is the first step towards achieving something amazing." Dynamo added, 'AI isn't just for tech people—it's for anyone, in any field, who wants to use its power.' Both highlighted the importance of embracing innovation and recognizing AI's broad applicability."
