Tech.IT Forward #4 - Topic 3: Agile Team Transformation

Agile transformation is becoming very popular recently and being implemented by many organizations and teams. However, many still believe that applying Scrum, Agile practice or framework would make teams or organizations AGILE.
One definition that sounds very reasonable for why “Team transformation”:
Interestingly, it does not mention frameworks or practices since there is no `one size fit all`.
Coaching model for transformation
GROW is a popular coaching model which could be also applied for coaching agile teams and help teams and organizations be better.
G - Goal or purpose
As the definition aforementioned, the goal is to help a team or organization to become its better version. However, it needs to have a clear smart goal and strategy. Since transformation is not a linear process
R - Reality
After identifying the goal, observing the team for a certain period of time to understand clearly and holistically is required and a vital step before really changing. There are some `realities` or issues with the team might happen:
Improper backlog & sprint goal management
Ineffective Estimation
Ineffective Communication
And Scrum Master not doing well
O - Option
As a change agent, he/she should be able to provide the team an alternative way for them to perform better at a higher level. Coaching only might not be applicable but mentoring and training might need to be applied properly
W - Will
Last but not least in this model, high commitment and teamwork from development team and support from management and stakeholders would help the team to transform
